About the fragrance
Black licorice with a squeeze of lemon is not a pairing you meet every day, and Aoud Greedy builds an entire sweet-woody fragrance around it.
Lemon gives the opening a sharp, clean edge, and black licorice follows almost immediately, anise-dark and candied. The heart deepens into amber and patchouli, softened by floral and gourmand notes that make it feel like a jar of sweets in a wooden cabinet. Vetiver and white musk finish it on a drier, earthier note, so the sugar never has the last word.
Shared between men and women, it is happiest in autumn and winter, worn casually or to an evening out. It is lighter on smoke than The Aoud despite the name. The deciding factor is simple: if licorice candy makes you wince, nothing else here will win you over. A decant settles that question for very little money.
