About the fragrance
Smoke from an open fire, a rose on the table and a worn leather chair nearby: Fantastic Oud is a balsamic, campfire-toned oud with a romantic streak.
Agarwood opens it right away, woody and dark. Rose and patchouli arrive in the heart with tobacco, giving a soft, slightly sweet, dried-petal feel, while incense and styrax pile on resin and smoke. The base settles into leather, sandalwood and ambergris, warmer and smoother than the start, and it lingers through the day.
Men and women both wear it well, especially in autumn and winter or for evenings out. If you like Montale's spicier ouds but want more smoke and resin, it sits between them and the brighter Aoud Lagoon. Incense-heavy fragrances can feel cozy or churchy depending on the wearer, and a decant gives you a full day to decide which it is for you.
