About the Creator
An outstanding perfumer, one of the most famous noses of the world and perfume historian, Roger Dove was born in England in 1957. Dove fell under the spell of the world of fragrances as a child – his mother was a great connoisseur of redolence.
Dove studied medicine at Cambridge University, but dropped out after the first half of the year to start a perfume career at Guerlain. In 1981, he was accepted into the PR department. In 2001, after two decades of work, he left Guerlain to found his own company. The first project was the creation of a fragrance for the Terrence Higgins Trust charity auction.
Dove became famous for his speeches and lectures on perfumery, which he read in such places as the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Barbican Art Center and the Science Museum in London, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and others.
Aroma Collection
In 2004, the Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie boutique opened on the sixth floor of Harrods. The first fragrances of the brand were the Semi-Bespoke Collection editions. In 2007, Unspoken, Enslaved and one of the brand’s bestsellers, the white-flowered Scandal, were released.
2010 is the year of release of Aoud, which gave the name of the collection of the same name. A year later, Danger, Reckless and their male versions were introduced, as well as Scandal Pour Homme. In 2012, 13 colognes were released, and in 2013 – a collection of Pierre de Velay, Haute Luxe and Enigma paired fragrances. In 2015, the brand launched the lines Parfum De La Nuit and Tutti Frutti Collection, as well as two exclusive editions for the British department store Harrods. In 2016, Profumi d’amore was released. In 2019, Roja Parfums released 21 aroma bottles. Most of them belong to the collections of Pierre de Velay and Semi-Bespoke.
Roja Parfums collaborated with The Jasmine Awards and The Cosmetics Perfumer Retailers Association. In 2017, Roja Dove developed the recipe for whiskey Edition No. 3, the third release in the experimental Macallan line.

Roger Dove is a supporter of the unisex style, believing that scents cannot have a gender identity, and he calls the division of perfumes into male and female another trick of marketers.
