About the fragrance
Clean shirts, crushed herbs and a squeeze of lemon on a hot afternoon: Eau Sauvage Extreme is a citrus aromatic for men with a surprisingly elegant core.
Lemon and bergamot snap open alongside lavender and basil, with a fruity glint and an early dab of patchouli. The middle turns barbershop-classic, rosemary, bay leaf and coriander warmed by sandalwood, then brushed with aldehydes, jasmine and orris for a soapy, powdery polish. Oakmoss, cedar, musk and amber, plus more patchouli, give it an old-school, slightly bitter finish.
It suits warm months, tailored days and anyone who likes the vintage-gentleman style of freshness. If your idea of fresh is sporty and modern, the oakmoss may read dated. Classic citrus-moss scents can swing between crisp and austere depending on the wearer, so a decant is a sensible way to find out which side you land on.
