About the fragrance
Spice market, rose garden and a leather saddlebag, layered in that order. Nepal Aoud is a woody, spicy Montale that keeps its oud warm and approachable rather than stark.
Saffron and nutmeg lead, giving a dry, golden spice. The heart combines amber with Bulgarian rose, so the spice softens into something round and floral. The finish leans comforting: vanilla, white musk and leather settle in and stay for a long time, the leather keeping the vanilla from going sugary.
It moves easily from day to evening and suits women and men alike, which is not true of every oud. Cooler months are its home, though a light hand makes it workable in spring. If Aoud Musk feels too austere and Intense Café too sweet, this is the middle path, and a decant is the easiest way to confirm it.
