About the fragrance
Despite the name, this is less a mint cocktail than a citrus-bright oud: Aoud Lemon Mint opens zesty and dries down dark and leathery.
Lemon and mandarin lead, sharpened by pepper and coriander, with a curious nutty softness from almond. The heart introduces Egyptian jasmine, agarwood and patchouli, where the oud starts to show its smoky face. Vanilla, amber, musk, vetiver and leather form a warm, slightly rugged finish that is far from the sunny opening.
Shared between men and women, it is a good entry point for anyone curious about oud but wary of heavy, smoky blends, and it suits spring evenings as much as autumn days. Note that the notes listed for it include no mint, so expect lemon rather than menthol freshness. The jump from citrus to leather is dramatic, and a decant is the easiest way to see whether you enjoy both halves.
