About the fragrance
Heat haze over dunes at sunset, with incense drifting from somewhere nearby: Sand Aoud is a fruity, smoky oud with real warmth.
Spices and black currant open together, rich and slightly jammy. Incense, rose and saffron form a resinous floral heart that smells almost ceremonial. Agarwood then takes over the base, supported by vanilla, patchouli and white musk, so the drydown feels sweet-woody rather than medicinal.
Worn by women and men alike, it carries from a brisk morning into a cold evening and belongs to autumn and winter. In hot weather it can feel stifling. Compared with The Aoud, it is fruitier up top and more incense-driven in the middle. Mancera offers several ouds in our catalog, and picking two or three as decants is a faster way to find your style than reading notes lists.
