About the fragrance
Warm stone, salt air and a glow of resin: Ambra takes Acqua di Parma's usual citrus brightness and points it toward ambergris and woods.
Orange, bergamot and petitgrain make a brisk, almost cologne-like start. Underneath, rose and nagarmotha give the heart a soft, slightly smoky texture, with cedarwood and patchouli lending structure. The finish is the point of the scent: ambergris with sandalwood, labdanum, vanilla and musk, salty-sweet and smooth rather than heavy.
Positioned for men, it fits cooler evenings, fall weekends and anyone who wants an amber that still feels clean. If you prefer the purely fresh side of the house, such as Colonia, this may read too warm. Ambergris effects are subtle and skin-dependent, so it is worth wearing a decant a few times before judging the drydown.
