About the fragrance
Plum, red rose and cardamom wrapped in a musky haze: Regio is a Xerjoff oriental that combines citrus, flowers and earthy warmth.
Grapefruit, bergamot, lavender and lemon bloom open crisp and light. The heart deepens into carnation, geranium, ylang-ylang and red rose, with juicy plum and cardamom lending a coffee-house spice. In the base, musk and ambrette form a soft, earthy cloud, and vanilla and patchouli add sweetness and depth.
It is framed for women but appeals to men too, and works best in autumn or on evenings out. Those who want a straightforward fresh scent will find too much going on. The plum-cardamom pairing changes noticeably between skins, which makes a decant the sensible first step.
