About the fragrance
Despite the floral-sounding name, Bouquet Ideale is a woody, spicy Xerjoff from the Casamorati 1888 line, a fine pick for people who usually avoid flowers.
Cinnamon and nutmeg open warm and bakery-sweet, with vanilla already in the air. The heart goes dry and green, sandalwood, guaiac wood, cedar and papyrus giving a papery, smoky texture. The base deepens with musk, labdanum, tonka and tobacco blossom, plus more vanilla for a soft, ambery close.
It suits men and women alike, best in autumn and winter for evenings and cozy weekends. If cinnamon in perfume reminds you of holiday candles, you may not love it. Compared with Dolce Amalfi, it is drier and woodier. A decant tells you whether the spice stays elegant on you.
