About the fragrance
Herb garden, cedar chest and a worn leather glove: Lippizan is an earthy aromatic from Parfums de Marly with a classic, gentlemanly build.
Cardamom, lemon, sage and thyme open it on a sharp, almost culinary note, with bergamot adding brightness. The center is unusual, setting vetiver and patchouli right beside jasmine and rose, so the florals arrive grounded and a little dusty. Cedar, amber, vanilla, musk and leather close it out, warm but never sugary.
It is aimed at men and suits cooler days, tailored clothes and anyone who enjoys traditional herbal-leather scents. Fans of sweet modern blends will find it old-school. Herbal openings shift a lot in the first hour, and a decant lets you judge the whole arc rather than one spray on a paper strip.
