About the fragrance
Armani Code Colonia takes the after-dark mood of the Code name and opens the windows. It is an aromatic fougère from 2017, lighter and cleaner than the name might suggest.
Bergamot and mandarin lead, with a peppery prickle from pink pepper. Then the heart goes soft and slightly sunny: orange blossom, clary sage and a salicylate note that lends a smooth, almost sun-lotion radiance. Tonka bean and heliotrope round the base into something powdery and warm without real sweetness.
Think spring weekends, daytime dates and warm offices. Men who like their fougères polished rather than barbershop-sharp will feel at home; anyone hunting for density and big projection may find it too polite. Colonia-style editions are easy to misjudge on paper, which is why a few days with a decant beats guessing from the pyramid.
