About the fragrance

The familiar sea breeze with a heavier, woodier undertow, Acqua di Gio Absolu is the more aromatic, evening-friendly turn in Giorgio Armani's Acqua di Gio line.

It opens with sea notes, bergamot, pear, apple, grapefruit and lemon, fruity and sparkling. Lavender, rosemary and geranium form an herbal heart that adds a groomed, almost fougere feel. The base is woody notes, tonka bean, amberwood, patchouli and labdanum, warmer and more resinous than the airy original.

Framed for men, it stretches from spring into fall and from the office into dinner. Anyone hoping for a purely aquatic scent may find the base heavier than expected. If you already know the original Acqua di Gio or Acqua Di Gio Profumo, a decant is an easy way to see where this one sits in the family before committing to a bottle.

    10 min - weak projection, has ADG signature underneath, lavender & woody smell, it isnt bad
    - would like to try ADG absolu intense
    - wish it had more strength to its projection bc i like the scent - maybe thats why they created ADG Absolu instinct
