About the fragrance
Lemon, lime and sea air with a touch of flowers, Acqua di Gio is the Giorgio Armani aromatic aquatic that much of the fresh men's category is still measured against.
The opening is a bright mix of lime, lemon, bergamot, orange, mandarin and neroli, with jasmine adding softness. The heart is broad: sea notes and calone for that marine feel, rosemary and coriander for herbs, peach, freesia, hyacinth, cyclamen, violet, rose and mignonette for a gentle floral layer, and nutmeg for a hint of spice. White musk, cedar, oakmoss, patchouli and amber close it.
It suits summer, office wear and anyone who wants something clean and familiar. If you dislike marine notes, this is not the place to start. It is also the base of the family, so decants of this, Acqua Di Gio Profumo, Profondo and Absolu make comparison straightforward.
