About the fragrance
Rum, cinnamon and leather make Bentley for Men feel like the back room of an old gentlemen's club, wood paneling and all. It is a spicy oriental with a boozy streak.
Black pepper, bay leaf and bergamot give it a brisk, aromatic opening that wakes you up. The warmth builds in the heart, where clary sage and cinnamon meet a sugary rum note and a frame of woods. Patchouli, benzoin, cedar and leather close it with a rich, slightly smoky depth that leans classic rather than modern.
This is a cold-weather, after-dark fragrance for men who enjoy boozy spice and traditional leather. If your taste runs to clean, airy scents, it will probably feel too dense. Rum accords sit on a knife edge between cozy and cloying, and a few evenings with a decant will tell you which side of that line it lands on for you.
