About the fragrance
A cool, green walk through damp foliage rather than a day on the sand, Beach Hut Man is Amouage at its most outdoorsy.
Mint and galbanum open with a bracing, almost bitter snap, softened slightly by orange blossom. The heart sinks into the undergrowth: earthy vetiver, moss and the leafy, crushed-stem smell of ivy. Patchouli, myrrh and dry woods form the base, resinous and a little smoky, so the green never turns thin or sporty.
This woody aromatic is framed for men and suits spring through early fall, especially for people who like vetiver and mossy, foresty scents. If you expect something sunny or aquatic from the name, it will surprise you, and that gap between name and smell is the best reason to start with a decant: wear it on a warm day and a cool one before deciding.
