About the fragrance
A cognac cellar at the end of autumn, the barrels breathing, someone baking a cinnamon cake upstairs: Angels’ Share is Kilian’s tribute to the part of the cognac that evaporates while it ages, a theme close to home for a founder from the Hennessy family.
Cognac opens it, boozy and fruity rather than sharp. Cinnamon, tonka and oak follow, warm and slightly woody, and the base turns to praline, vanilla and sandalwood, smooth like a dessert served with a glass of something old.
It is unisex, cozy and at its best in the cold months, for evenings, holidays and long dinners. It is sweet: expect a gourmand first and a woody scent second, and look elsewhere if you want something dry or fresh.
It is sold out for now. When it is back, a 5 ml decant lets you wear it over a few cold evenings and test it side by side with Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa, which is often compared with it.
