About the fragrance
Ice cracking in a glass, a curl of rhubarb, and an unexpectedly green chill: Vodka on the Rocks is Kilian's cold, clear cocktail scent, shared by women and men.
Cardamom and coriander open with a crisp spice, and aldehydes add a waxy, almost metallic coolness that does a convincing impression of frost on glass. The heart turns fresh and floral with lily of the valley, tart rhubarb and pink rose. Oakmoss, ambrox and sandalwood form a damp, earthy, slightly mineral base.
It is surprisingly versatile, from spring afternoons to summer nights, and suits people who like clean, unusual fragrances with no sugar at all. If you expect a boozy, sweet cocktail, this is not it, and the name may mislead you. The aldehydic chill can feel striking on one person and cold on another, so a decant gives you time to decide which way it goes.
