About the fragrance
Embers in a brazier, a curl of incense, and a tin of sweet pipe tobacco left open on the table: Khamrah Dukhan is the smoky branch of Lattafa’s Khamrah family (dukhan is Arabic for smoke).
Mandarin and pimento open it with a bright, peppery warmth. Incense and labdanum take over quickly, with orange blossom and patchouli in the heart, and the base is where the Khamrah sweetness returns: tobacco, praline, amber, tonka and benzoin.
Wear it on cold nights and in the open air; it is unisex, though its style is dark and resinous. It shares praline and tonka with Kilian Angels’ Share and is often discussed next to it, but the incense and tobacco give it a different, smokier mood. Incense lovers will feel at home; if smoke bothers you, Khamrah Qahwa is the softer choice.
Smoky resins unfold slowly, so give a 5 ml decant a few full days of wear before buying a bottle.
