About the fragrance
Clean laundry, cold ginger and a curl of incense: Y is a fresh, sharp men's scent from Yves Saint Laurent with a firm backbone.
White aldehydes, bergamot and ginger give a bright, crisp opening. Sage, geranium and violet leaf form a green, aromatic heart. Ambergris, incense, fir balsam, cedar and musk build a solid, slightly resinous finish.
It suits office days, spring and younger men who want something modern and clean. Those after warmth and sweetness will find it austere. Aldehydes can smell soapy or metallic depending on skin, and a decant is a quick way to check before buying a bottle.
