About the fragrance
Fleur de Chine is a silk robe in a dim room, lilac and plum drifting from a lacquered bowl. It is soft, cinematic and gently mysterious.
Lilac, hyacinth, tea rose and jasmine form a delicate opening, more watercolor than oil paint. Then magnolia blooms suddenly, followed by a creamy wave of plum that gives the middle its sweetness. The base turns quiet and woody: Chinese cedarwood, vetiver and hinoki, dry and slightly mossy.
It suits anyone who likes romantic florals with a grounded, woody finish, and it feels right for spring evenings and quiet occasions. The plum-and-hinoki pairing is unusual, and it is the kind of combination best judged on skin over several hours, which is exactly what a 5 ml decant allows.
