Banana Republic Neroli Woods

Sunlight filtering through an orange grove, with a slice of coconut on the side: Neroli Woods is a citrus aromatic that Banana Republic built to be shared between women and men.

Neroli and crushed mandarin leaf open on a bitter-green, sparkling note, while coconut nectar adds softness from the very start. The heart warms into orange blossom and frangipani, lit by solar notes that give it a skin-in-the-sun glow, with peony keeping things airy. Cedar, sandalwood, ebony and amber form a smooth, dry base that stops the florals from drifting away.

It is a natural pick for hot weather, vacations and daytime plans, and it works for anyone who finds classic colognes too fleeting. People who dislike any tropical or sunscreen-adjacent nuance should test with care. The coconut is the variable here: on some skin it melts into the background, on others it lingers for hours, and a small decant answers that quickly.

Notes. Top: neroli, mandarin leaf, coconut nectar; heart: orange blossom, solar notes, frangipani, peony; base: sandalwood, cedar, ebony, amber. Launched in 2018.
