About the fragrance
Acqua Fiorentina is a ripe orchard in a glass: plum and apple first, a basket of citrus and pear after, and a cool rose holding it all together.
The opening is round and fruity rather than sharp, with plum giving a dark, jammy note and apple a crisp counterpoint. The heart turns brighter, mixing lemon and bergamot with juicy pear and a soft rose. Unusually, grapefruit shows up in the base, keeping a tart edge alive as cedar and sandalwood bring in quiet woods.
It is cheerful and easy to wear, at its best in spring and summer and at daytime events where a fruity floral feels right. Plum can turn syrupy on warm skin while grapefruit stays zesty, and how those two meet is personal, so a 5 ml decant is the right way to try it before deciding on a bottle.
