About the fragrance
Café Rose is a red rose dropped into a cup of dark espresso, with a pinch of saffron dusted on the saucer. It is warm, spicy and quietly dramatic, a rose for people who usually avoid rose perfumes.
Saffron and black pepper open with heat, and May rose adds a fresh, dewy lift. The heart doubles down on roses, Turkish and Bulgarian, fused with coffee for a roasted, slightly bitter edge that keeps the petals from feeling pretty in a conventional way. Incense, amber, sandalwood and patchouli settle into a smoky, resinous base.
It suits anyone who likes roses with shadows, and fits autumn evenings or winter afternoons. Coffee notes can smell rich and inviting on one wrist and flat on another, and the rose-coffee ratio shifts with temperature. Wear a 5 ml on a cold day and a mild one before deciding.
