About the fragrance
Clean laundry drying in a lemon grove: Aqua Universalis is about as fresh and uncomplicated as a fragrance gets.
Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon open with a crisp, almost soapy brightness. The middle turns softly floral with lily of the valley, mock orange and orange blossom, light enough that it never feels perfumey. A base of blonde wood and musk keeps everything close to the skin, like the faint scent of a freshly ironed shirt.
Framed for women and men, it is made for hot days, offices, travel and anyone who wants to smell clean rather than noticeable. If you want warmth, spice or a strong trail, this is the wrong pick. Because it is so understated, people tend to either love its quietness or wish for more, and a decant answers that question without the cost of a full bottle.
