About the fragrance
Crushed orange peel, a sprig of mint and the green of a summer garden: Eau d'Orange Verte is Hermès at its most refreshing, a citrus cologne that wears comfortably on anyone.
Orange, Amalfi lemon and mandarin hit first, tart and sparkling rather than sweet. Mint and cassis add a green, leafy freshness with a hint of dark fruit, and vetiver and patchouli give the citrus enough earth to stand on as it fades.
It is pure spring and summer daytime, ideal after a shower or before a long walk. Like most true colognes it sits close and does not last long, so reapplying is part of the ritual; if you want a scent that goes all day from one spray, this is not it. That lightness is exactly why a decant works so well here: a small spray bottle is easy to carry and refresh from.
