About the fragrance
Smoke curling from a cedar chest that has crossed half a continent: Electimuss Capua is a smoky wood scent built almost entirely around cedar.
Elemi opens with a resinous, peppery, slightly medicinal brightness. Cedar fills the heart, dry and smoky, and stays through the base, where vetiver, amber and Kashmir wood add warmth, earthiness and a soft, cozy edge. It is linear in the best sense: one idea explored from several angles.
Wear it in fall and winter, to dinners, or on quiet evenings at home. Anyone who prefers florals or sweetness will find it austere. Because it is so focused on one material, you either love the cedar or you don't, and a decant settles that question quickly.
